Rookie needs wiring and programming help
 

I am a member of a rookie team and have been frustrated by several problems.
1) how do I wire and read the kop switches as inputs?
2) how do I get the template directory to change for the vision processing. I made the code in vision assistant and used variables wired to panals to change the directory, but I continue to get errors when the program begins. It does not even locate the first color.
3) in the labview default code, I notice that variables, such as joystick numbers or input numbers, have dropdown boxes that contain text and numbers. How do these work and how do I make them?
