That depends on what you want to do with it, and what kind of switch it is (how many terminals does it have?).

More info would help us answer your question.

We have a 3 terminal swithc and im think its going to be used for autonomous alternative selection. All i know is that its fun to play with right now.... but i need to find out how to wire it in to the system :P

If you are wiring it to a digital input, you could connect the white and black wires of a PWM cable to two of the switch terminals that are next to each other.

Most switches will close the circuit between the middle terminal, and the end terminal opposite the position you move the lever/rocker.

Use an ohm meter, and see what it does.
