Oh, no! I just realized that the Beantown Blitz is scheduled for the same weekend.
I know 1519 has always gone to both; I guess that will change this year. :(

Hmm, seems like it's time to make VanceSMI happy and send our 2010 'bot to a 2011 event! :p

Its also the National Math competition at Penn State!

Yeah, our mentors aren't too happy about that, they're actually really bumming. It's tough that it ended up that way...
3467 should definitely go to Mayhem in Merrimack :P You all should, actually. The Chop Shop tries to make sure that MAYHEM is as fun as possible, so teams can fully enjoy the competition!

1519 will be attending Mayhem in Merrimack again this year. We were sad to have to choose between Beantown Blitz and Mayhem in Merrimack, but how could we pass up a tournament with our name in it? :-)

Grr, vacation is scheduled for the 4th-11th and my sister graduates on May 21st. There just went BC12,Merrimack, and Wolcott.

Then again there is always the fall to look forward too! Good luck have a blast this year guys!

With Championships behind us now, we're starting to wonder what other teams will be attending Mayhem in Merrimack -- is there a preliminary team list yet?

Yes, every competition does need a rookie team and we are glad to hear you are going! I will post an updated team list when i can get my hands on one tonight, at the moment I think there are 16 teams registered (including us).

So there are actually 15 possibly 16 teams going so there are 8-9 spots left.
Also our mentor that is planning mayhem is thinking about doing 2v2 matches because there are not that many teams, it would be interesting to see how this turns out. 8 Days to mayhem! see you all then.

WHAT! Only 16 teams registered? This was a great event last year. I hope the remaining 8 slots get filled quickly.

I don't know for sure right now but i heard that a additional team had registered and assuming 151 goes we will have 18 teams which will tie our all time high for registrations!

Do you have a schedule available for the event? I haven't found one yet. I am mostly looking for a start time so I know when our team needs to leave.

Can't wait for Saturday!! :) Just wondering if there's a more updated team list and if it will indeed be 2v2, if anyone from 166 that knows sees this post before Saturday and could post back that would be stellar!

Believe me, I'm excited too, as is the rest of the team! Yes, it WILL be 2v2, unless something changed between Sunday and today and I wasn't told. I am likewise unaware of any other rules changes, although as far as I know there aren't any.

Unfortunately, I don't have a schedule, but I'll try to edit this post with one tomorrow once I (hopefully) get the info.

EDIT: Alright, I got the schedule from the guy who's running Mayhem:

So the field is set up and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. We now have 14 teams but 16 bots as teams 40 and 1519 are bringing 2 bots. Also we were treated to a surprise we setting up, we were unrolling the carpet and one of the halves was covered in confetti and we realized we got half the carpet from Einstein! So every team is getting a bag of the confetti tomorrow.
