CRIO HELP NEEDED!

After many attempts of trying to send "Run as Start up" succesfully,to the CRio, we got a message that said it couldn't connect. I turned it off and tried it again, but it never caught it. I tried to reimage it to v28, since i had it on v25 but it would always get error 60?? after the reboot process. I reset the ip adress. now it's at 0.0.0.0 and now i can't reimage it at all. help?

We had the same sort of problem at the beginning. I think we had to flip some of the cRio's switches. I know we had to turn off safe mode, but I can't remember exactly what else we did.
If that happens to be your problem, I could post a close up of our switches tomorrow.

Re: CRIO HELP NEEDED!

Ok, I just asked our main programmer and he said "Turn off all wireless connections, wired connections, firewalls, security programs. Make sure the safe mode dip switch is off and that the ip app dip switch is on"
We also had to use our camera's crossover ethernet cable to make it work right.
Lemme know if it works, cause I don't have any other ideas.

Also make your subnet mask is set properly: 255.255.255.0
(also make sure the rest of the static IPs are correct as well)

It looks like this article will tell you what you need to do. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh....php?p=1022042
Note especially the use of the crossover LAN cable if you connect the cRIO (port 1) directly to your computer. The crossover cable is the orange LAN cable usually used to connect port 2 of the cRIO to the camera.

I couldn't get the referenced NI document but this one is similar:http://www.bu.edu/bua-robotics/files...RIO_Manual.pdf

I'm uneasy about experimenting with our cRIO this close to ship date but I'll experiment with this procedure for my pre-season classes next fall

check that the 24V power goes from the PD board to the cRIO (there are 4 possible connections on the connector, and you should use the two outside ones for the RIO. I forget which side is positive and which side is negative)
