Loud planetary gearbox - Help

Our team just got our RS-550 26:1 P60 planetary gearboxes from BaneBots. After greasing and reassembling them, they seemed significantly louder than similar gearboxes we used in 2009. Is this normal? If not, how much grease should there be? We use white lithium.

It doesn't take a lot of grease to lubricate the gearbox. Adding more probably won't make the noise change noticeably. Can you post a video of the motor/gearbox running (with sound), both without load and under load?

Sure, I'll do it tomorrow (school rules prohibit us from working on Sunday, or that's what I'd be doing right now).
