I've seen many auton's in action on CD, most aren't driving that full length that they should be... Have you guys tried a longer distance run?

Depending on what sensors 369 uses, they could theoretically start anywhere and be able to score. If they're line tracking and using the terminator on the line as the stop point, they could code it in suck a way that the robot doesn't care if the line is 3' long or 300' long. IR sensors, cameras, and other distance sensors come to mind as well.
