Seeking veteran opinion on withholding robot components..
We are currently reconstructing our arm after an unfortunate (or fortunate?) decapitation ::ouch:: at Saturday's scrimmage in Nashua and the team was wondering if it was worth withholding the arm and all the necessary components that fall in line to rewire and reprogram the entire arm?

Re: Seeking veteran opinion on withholding robot components..
Without more detail like pictures, I would say absolutely.
The big question is can you do it in the 30lb limit. |
Re: Seeking veteran opinion on withholding robot components..
Like IndySam said, it's definitely worth it.
Now, a more realistic question to ask is, can you do it with the time and resources allotted? And can you do it with the 30lb withholding limit? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then by all means, go for it. |
Re: Seeking veteran opinion on withholding robot components..
We are doing that this year. We are keeping the arm and the electronics board. The pistons we ordered never came (coming this week) so we did not have a functioning arm. Code needs to written for it.

Re: Seeking veteran opinion on withholding robot components..
@david-doesn't the electrical board not count towards 30lbs since it is entirely composed of cots?
