Who says GKC regional needs out-of-state powerhouses? We have our own!
Very well done, excited to see it in person.

Wow can't wait to play against/with you guys at kc! Our robot (1710) seems to preform almost exaclty the same as yours. Top row no problem. 3 tubes in about 50 seconds (starting from our rack and goign to pick up each tube from infront of station). Minibot + deployment anywhere from 2.5 to 4 seconds. If we are on an alliance together it could be pretty powerful! There is my sales pitch! ;)

Good Luck!!!

Very very smooth! Certainly one of the top robots posted so far.

Your driving looks very fluid... what kind of interface are you using, and are you using some kind of feedback from the drivetrain during teleop? Awesome gripper, too. Looks like a similar concept to what we're using, only much more refined.

You guys sure build some efficient machines.

They are old ones. This was pre-finish.

Practice bumpers. If you notice they have different font/colors on them. Since robot size doesn't change much over the years it is easier to slap on a set of old bumpers while waiting for new ones to be made.

Looks extremely well put together and very smooth! Good luck!

Just a freak-of-nature driver.

Thanks Chris. 2010 was a break-out year for us in field play. It was a pleasure to be able to join the many teams from the Kansas City area at Champs and show off the deep pool of engineering talent, manufacturing capabilities, and quality students that we have.

Incidently, this will be the first year that we have strived to be great at every aspect of the game. I think we've got the resources and student talent to pull it off. We've never gotten past the semi-finals in KC, but we've inspired a lot of students trying.

Your minibot deployment looks extremely well done. I like how it does not require any sort of precise alignment whatsoever. Nice job.
