Get the Word of Animation Out!!!!
Hello world!
This is actually my first post on Chief Delphi so please be gentle with me. I am an animator on my division and it wasn't until recently that I started feeling unrecognized. I honestly believe that no one really knows how hard we animators work just so that in the end we wind up with about 45 seconds of fame (30 of them being the winning animation). I have a feeling that I am not the only person who feels this way, so I ask you fellow FIRST animators, to help speak up so that the great men and women of Autodesk and FIRST can hear our cries and hopefully be able to change this current problem. Thank you very much for your time, LONG LIVE FIRST!!! :) |
Re: Get the Word of Animation Out!!!!
One of my favorite parts of FIRST is the animation. While I don't animate, I have a huge amount of respect for everyone who does! This year was the first time 3132 submitted an animation, and I hope our animation sub-team knows how much respect I--and the rest of the team--have for them.
This goes for all FIRST animators! You guys are some of the "unsung" participants of FIRST. Thanks for all you do! |
Re: Get the Word of Animation Out!!!!
thanks phoenix!
I have worked on animation for the past 4 years and it feels like now that every year we get outshined by everything around us. No one knows or appreciates how hard we work and now I think its about time they heard us. I really am hoping to get a group large enough to grab the attention of FIRST or at the least Autodesk. So please SPREAD THE WORD!!!! |
Re: Get the Word of Animation Out!!!!
Thankfully, our team does appreciate us. I don't know why any team wouldn't. We work really hard for only a 30 second film. It's amazing how much time we spend on it.

Re: Get the Word of Animation Out!!!!
True we do work hard. But it feels like everytime our team does an animation the parents, the mentors (that dont help) and others dont see how hard we work...sometimes I wonder if the team members even care about it.
