That little camera on top reminds me of R2-D2 lol

Re: Team 2415 introduces: "We Dont Have a Name Yet"
The arm is toned down a bit in some of the shots. in our auto mode the arm goes from bottom to top in a little under 2 seconds. also we have started working on our 1 button scoring on the rack that will tilt the pivot a little bit further than in this video while it ejects the tube.
The bot has a 2 speed transmission running at 6 fps and 16 fps. the elevator is powered by 3 550 banebots. the tilt and the gripper are each run by their own 550's. deployment was not yet put on the robot when this video was being filmed. This was also the second time the drivers had driven the robot. |

Improving driving, awesomely fast lift. You guys are in for another great season. Great to see another southern powerhouse emerge.

Aligatron
It has green lighting. The lighting looks Tron (the movie) like. Its roller claw looks like an aligator mouth. The slanted back makes it look like it could be coming up out of the water. You guys are based in the southern US...:) Whatever you end up calling it, that thing is well-built. Great job! |

Looking good guys.
Driver looks a little rough, but I'm sure he'll be fine tuned by the time regionals roll around. She does look nice. Perhaps something like Lucy. |

Also as was mentioned, the arm is only running at 30% speed in the video and all of the auto scoring features are still being worked out. Also, all of this video is from the first time we have driven the fully functioning practice bot and as such the operator is quite rusty. Expect things to speed up a good bit before Alamo This is without a doubt the best robot I have ever had a hand in and the team really stepped up this year to get this robot built in a weekend |
Re: Team 2415 introduces: "We Dont Have a Name Yet"
with movement.. the camera.. and the slick look.. id do what another person mentioned.. name it R2-D2 and maybe even throw in a "mew" for the team name.. R2-D-Mew

yup this is the first time they really got to drive with everything. The auto scoring is not yet done so they are having to move the elevator, tilt, gripper individually. We have aggressive drivers...so with a little learning...they will be fun to watch |

Re: Team 2415 introduces: "We Dont Have a Name Yet"
Awesome. Glad to see that your jags are protected now. My only question, I think I asked it at the scrimmage, where are you placing the minibot, or are you just going to rely on its scoring skillz?
|
Re: Team 2415 introduces: "We Dont Have a Name Yet"
The minibot will be swinging out the side

Sweet Go Pro... I wanted to put one on my robot. Did you find a way to get the feed from it on the driverstation?
