Solenoids

When using solenoids to control flow, is there any way to stop flow, or stop the core halfway in between both ends of the chamber, and then continue pressure on command

While I have seen many people say that stopping a piston mid-stroke is impossible (and for super precise movements, they may be right), there are ways to do this. The most basic way teams have done this is to use one solenoid for input and one for output, but this year, having more than 1 solenoid per cylinder is illegal.

There was another thread discussing this topic and someone posted a schematic to basically do the same thing with a 5/3 solenoid.
