Driver account neccesary
 
is it neccesary to set up a seprate account on your non class mate laptop for your driver station. also is their anyway to get the driver station full screen

Yes, a Driver account [capitalization and all] is required in order for the field system to communicate with your driver station. I saw a related thread just today actually: here.
We set up the driverstation on a larger laptop, and fullscreen mode appears to be sized correctly for the much-smaller classmate screen, so I'm not sure it will ever fill the entire screen on a different laptop.

In the bottom part of Dashboard Main, there's a few things that set how big it gets and where it gets placed. You can also go to vi properties (by right clicking on the icon in the top right hand corner) and change things there.

You also need the Driver account for the cypress IO board and error messages to work (from my testing).

Changing the laptop screen resolution can make it show as full screen.

The Driver account does not affect these directly... only if you mean that they don't work on the field because there is no communication with your robot at all.
