Limit on price for new laptop?

Hi Gang,

I've been trying to find the thread but with no luck. If we want to use a laptop other than the classmate for our driver station in competition, what is the limit for it's price? I seem to remember something about no more than $400 retail (I assume that a $600 laptop on sale for $399 doesn't count?). Can someone point me to the rule where this is laid out? Also, does the laptop count as part of our BOM price limitation?

TIA,

Mike

The OPERATOR CONSOLE (including the Driver Station laptop) is exempt from cost accounting according to <R20-E>.
