Mini-Bot Parts

are door hinges allowed?? the items list says harware allowed, but do door hinges fall under that category??

I think you might have an old manual, it was updated early in the build season to say "Mechanical Fasteners" instead of hardware.

You should also update your copy of the manual, if you haven't already:
