haha! awesome point... a 6 tube autonomous with one tube on each peg. This would be truly awesome. for the sake of discussion though we'll keep it at a 6 tube autonomous so you are not dependent on the other alliance |
Re: Will we see a perfect score?
I expect an alliance at IRI elims might achieve this. Some alliance including three of: 1114,2056,217,148,254,968,233,111 and probably more I'm forgetting.

Re: Will we see a perfect score?
I don't think so, Sunshine.
An Ubertube is not a robot. It is quite possible to push an Ubertube far enough over the line for another robot to grab it without going across yourself. It would take some relatively precision programming, but could be done. Now whether said Ubertube could be scored autonomously is quite another story. |

Re: Will we see a perfect score?
If there are any lineups with 3 awesome bots versus 3 broken bots, then this is feasible. My take is 2 main scorers with a carrier bot who gets the right tubes at the right times.

Also going back to the 6 tube autonomous this may be an interesting thing to consider when going against reliable 2 tube autonomous robots. Take this video of 33... http://www.youtube.com/user/ketterin.../1/V7WGRe6t1Gg If your robot was designed to cross mid field and steal the 3rd tube and then cap it, it would cause a pretty substantial change of pace... rather than your opponent potentially scoring 18 points from a result of that second tube you could score those 18 points. incurring a 3 pt penalty in doing so. all in all it would potentially be a *ironically* 33 pt swing. making a single tube worth basically 33 points versus the traditional 18 :) |

Re: Will we see a perfect score?
I think there is definitely a chance of seeing a perfect score at St. Louis.
But a major question: Is it worth it to score on the bottom row? The bottom row offers so few points, it would make more sense to switch to defense or to get to the minibot tower early to guarantee a win there. |
Re: Will we see a perfect score?
But is having a slightly smaller chance of winning the match worth the extravagant fame of being the first alliance to ever get a perfect score?
Honestly, 60 teams have won Einstein, you could be one of the three to get the golden score. |
