Shane,
Looks great!

We got the same drawer slides and setup, battery and compressor in exact same spots, and similar claws.

Is that a triple reduction I see?

Confirming what Eric said - just a dual reduction like past years. That sprocket is there for tensioning purposes.

I hear that Falcons are trying to set up a webcast, hope it happens.

Looks like a great robot in the pics, I'm sure it will look even better in real life tomorrow! Should be a fun regional

Man, I feel kind of dumb. We probably have that exact fiberglass tube in our shop and I don't think anyone has thought to use it.

Yeah fiberglass is awesome stuff when you want something lighter than aluminum and still super rigid. The pultruded stuff is also really easy to work with.

Is there any reason to putting the FP and it's gearbox down at the bottom besides to lower the CG?

I call shenanigans! You guys totally stole that design from the Hawaiian Kids ;)

Lowers CG, plus it just wouldn't be a BeachBot if an FP were high off the ground. :)

Every FP that has been on a 330 machine has been close-ish to the ground. Winches low down, arm power sources low down, I can't think of a single FP that made it higher than 2' from the ground on a 330 machine (except maybe in 2009).

It also gives a good chance to get extra reductions via chain and sprocket.

I hope we can do as well as them.

Logomotion was my rookie year, and my first FIRST event was at the 2011 AZ regional.

Along with all the other rookies on our team, I was the most impressed by Team 330's Beach 'Bot. (Falcon Robotics was a close 2nd). From the handling of the 8wd, to the ease at which that killer claw picked up tubes, I coudn't have found a better robot.

Great Job guys, hope to see y'll next year!
