Uploading the robot

Hello Guys,

I've got a question.

The 5 people loading up. Does one of the 5 has to be over 18?
If a mentor helpes uploading, does he count for for those 5?
Does one person (over 18?) has to stay at the car?
Can the minibot and driversboard go in on thursday?
Anything else we should know about it?

How does of all that go this year?

Thanks for answers!

That info should be in an email sent to your lead mentor...

But, I can make some reasonable guesses from the Admin Manual, Section 4.7 (and before all you folks start going on about how it's for non-Bag and Tag events, I know, but I couldn't find anything in said portion of the Admin Manual on B&T load-in).

Does one of the 5 have to be over 18? Yes. Admin 4.7 says at least one of the three (for traditional events--B&T ones allow 5) must be an adult of post-high school status. I've never heard of anybody being allowed in the pits without an adult of that type. (I've even seen a team not be able to pick up their kit because they didn't have a post-high school adult with them.)

Does one person (over 18) have to stay at the car? That's for you to determine. You could just lock the vehicle up, or leave a 6th person there.

Can the Minibot and dashboard go in Thursday? I've never heard that you can't bring stuff in on Thursday. However, what I've kind of been picking up is that if you use the Wednesday night drop-off, you can't use the early entry on Thursday. (NOTE: That's just my observations based on the wording used in a couple of B&T event info messages/postings. YMMV.)

Re: Uploading the robot

Thank you very much.

Our mentor didn't get a letter, yet. Maybe she will get one later but it's not here yet.

Well thanks for answering. That helps a lot.

Well I thought that Wednesday is the day to unload all our stuff and not Thursday and from what I've heard is that they don't want us to take a lot of stuff in on Thursday.

Here is some info from First: A to Z

I get the impression it is a work in progress. It says among other things that you will not be able to leave your car at the unload point. It is a drop & go. No requirement on who drives the car off though.
