Re: Music at FRC Regionals

Hi, can anyone tell me the name of the songs that play when a certain award is presented? There seems to be a trend across regionals where certain songs play for an award. Thanks!

For example, I heard:
Technologic - Daft Punk
Never Say Never - Justin Bieber

"All-Star," by Smash Mouth, is played for the Rookie All-Star award. That one should be self-explanatory.

I am happy the Good Times by Inxs and Jimmy Barnes has made it to the regular playlist. Great song from one of the best movie soundtracks of all times (though the film Lost Boys was a huge disappointment).

You should hear the "Safety Dance" for one of those awards.

I wasn't there in person, but from what I watched via webcast it seems that Rocky Top was played very frequently at the Smoky Mountain Regional.

I heard something being played at waterloo and GTR during an award, I don't know what the song was but it went like. "spin the track take the track", something. I love that song does anyone know what it's called?

I don't have a good suggestions to make, but I will say, if I hear Sweet Caroline one more time, I might snap...

Just saying :D A wide range of music should be selected though, from classic rock tunes (Living on a Prayer was a good one) to pop songs (when Baby comes on, I'm confused if I'm at an FRC competition or a Justin Bieber concert). The only issue I see this year is not having a wide enough variety of music. I can only "teach someone how to dougie" so many times before I'm begging for a new dance song.

At Bayou, the DJ played My Hero by the Foo Fighters when the Woodie Flowers award was presented.

I chuckled.
