Programmers: Would You Want To Develop For The NGP?

The NGP will probably utilize the 4 cores like this:

1 Core for hypervisor and game OS only. Closed off to developers.
3 Cores for application usage, open to developers.

So in other words, developers will not have access to the kernel and will have to use system calls... But that is the norm these days.

The CPU will probably have:

Minimum of 1.0 GHz
a 512K L2 shared cache
each core will have 32K data cache and 32K Instruction cache
16 32bit general purpose registers (that is double the x86, there are only 8 in the x86)
32 64bit (double precision) floating point registers

Do you think Sony will set up some kind of indie scene like for the iOS and Android and 360 has right now?
Oh... I can't wait for this to get hacked and opened up... I would LOVE to develop for this piece of beauty.

Any one know how much RAM it will have? And the speed?

So in other words, imagine a high end computer from a few years back in teh palm of your hands:ahh:

Rumors are that it will include a 1GB ram.
