SOS - FIRST Robotics Conference
Team 2359, winners of the Engineering Inspiration Award for the Oklahoma Regional are proud to announce their workshop at the FIRST Robotics Conference:
SOS - Help for Raising Minds and Raising Funds (9AM THURSDAY) During this session you will learn about the RoboLobos successful outreach to our community through a Saturday program we call Sciencing On Saturday. Through S.O.S. our team delivers student designed lessons and activities which have directly reached over 150 students to get them excited and actively involved in learning about science and technology. The success of our program has excited our community about science education, raised our elementary students awareness of science, has planted the seed for the robotics team in elementary school students. This program which was started in the fall of 2009 has helped our team raise over $4500 in just four Saturdays, with our costs under $150 per day. In addition the publicity and outreach of our program has indirectly led to an additional $5000 in donations and $2800 in revenue from a summer robotics camp. Come join our session and find out how you can start your own outreach SOS program for your team. |

We finally have uploaded our Chairman's Video which features our SOS (Sciencing On Saturday) Program. This should give you a little idea on what we do. We look forward to seeing some of you Thursday morning at 9.

Re: SOS - FIRST Robotics Conference
I won't be going to FWC this year, however this program sounds really interesting as something to host at our local COSI or something. Any chance you can send some information my way about this?
