Sorry for the late details .. but we do have t-shirts, giveaways, etc., and want to get everybody together to meet face to face.

What: 2011 Chief Delphi Web Hug
When: Thursday, April 28, 2011 Noon
Where: Outside the Hall of Fame area.
Who: You have a forum account? You're invited.

Mike Martus (from Chief Delphi) will give a quick hello, let people meet & greet, share some quick statistics and hand out some raffle prizes. It shouldn't take too long.

Just like the past few years, we will be having a raffle this year. It will work the same way as previous years. Starting now, we will be giving away 35 raffle tickets each hour. I lost track of time this year (again), so the time to get raffle tickets is being compressed into 1 week instead of 2. You'll see the link show up top above the spotlight -- it will show for 1 minute (the 47th minute of each hour). We'll be picking the winners before the webhug, to save some time, but you must be present to win and pick up your prize.

You can get one between 4/20 and 4/25."

Super excited, got my ticket! Does this mean that we can only get one ticket? Or can I apply for multiple tickets?

Got my ticket then realized that I don't have a printer at college so I have to wait to get home before printing out this the ticket.

Finally found it...

It will show any tickets you have already won. The tickets are not lost forever if you can't print it immediately. :)

I didn't get a ticket yet, but I did pay $47 to fill my tank today. :(

I think I should win something for that :p


Bonus Points: I was also wearing a Chief Delphi shirt when I got gas. I'm gonna try to find a Juggernauts shirt to wear next time.

Very new CD user here... (Well at least with an account xD) What exactly is the Web Hug? I know it's a meet and greet kind of thing, but I'm still a bit confused. Is it just kind of a hang out and talk sort of thing? Please excuse my n00bnes... :]

SolidWorks again has donated a few hundred copies
for me to pass out to students. They will be passed out at the Hall of Fame - Team 51 --------if you can find it!

I was also waiting for the 47th minute, so I came here and started looking through the posts. I guess the raffle tickets were only handed out 4/20 to 4/25.

I was told that my raffle ticket might have been called. Unfortunately, I was in the Dome trying to get a quick bite to eat (which wasn't so quick) and missed the Web Hug. Sorry I didn't get to meet anyone.

I think they called everyone that had registered for a ticket. I know that Mike called about 6 pages of names.

Thanks for meeting, and I really like the VEX gyro I got. Our programmer was excited about getting it, and can't wait to put it on next year's robot to try it out.

I was at the Web Hug with a ticket and I never heard my name called. Never the less I was able to get a Solidworks CD after 3PM! The CD will be a great help to my team as we might have a mentor that knows Solidworks next year.

The Web Hug was pretty cool and it was nice to see some CheifDelphi members in real life.

I got a shirt and one of the Solidworks copies. I don't think anyone can realize how excited our lead CAD monkey (Mr. Pockets on CD) was when I told him that I have a copy of the new Solidworks for him. He didn't believe that I didn't want to keep it for myself :rolleyes:

Thank you Mike Martus for hosting the event! It was great to finally meet the people I've been talking with for years.

I hope the people who got Two Pencil Designs items are happy! I know I was happy when we got a shirt, a vex gyro and a copy of solidworks. :)

I was disappointed to miss it this year. I had my ticket, too! But with the bad weather, my arrival was delayed and I didn't make it to St. Louis until after it was over! :(

Thanks everyone for making this possible. I'll be wearing my VEX hat, since the medium shirts ran out :(

I was hoping that since I'd got my ticket at the very first 47th minute after the hour it was posted that would put me near the top, the random raffle factor was cool... Oh well, My girlfriend got a shirt, so maybe I'll just steal hers every now an then :p

The new copy of Solidworks will be a nice addition to my new collection (Thanks Lydia for the copy of Autodesk Inventor 2012, it pays to know a Dean's lister!)

I saw a bunch of people that I was excited to meet, and I'm glad that KoKo Ed was queuing our field so I could meet him even if he couldn't make it to the web-hug!

Second straight year that I missed the webhug, gahhh. You guys ever consider doing it at the end of one of the days or during the party?

Also such a great tradition and I am glad it has come with us to St. Louis.
