I'm hoping this year is a big WARNING sign to the GDC. Give teams 20 seconds for autonomus ! They can do really amazing things :D

One of the cool parts about it, is that the tube is always in the right position relative to the rack, no matter where the robot picks it up. So if the robot is off a little and doesn't grab it from center, the tube will still be in the right place to score.

I thought the left offset was intentional to avoid the pegs (since you loaded the original tube that way). Orienting the tube to the rack is obviously a big advantage in setup and limiting turns (robots like 40's Pinky and 987 have shown this). Has it ever missed to dead center on the tube and still worked? Overall, it should be pretty easy to tune the distances of the straight sections, assuming the angled backup isn't too long (hits the tube before the turn).

Again, great job! Truly amazing.

It has been programmed since DC but today is the first time we've had a robot that is functioning enough to actually test it (in DC 3 of our 4 encoders kicked the bucket so it wasn't possible).

But so far 4 for 4. More consistent than our single tube if you don't think too hard.

And that is why 1511 hardly EVER uses encoders any more >_< at any given point in time, encoders tend to jump ship for us =\

I'm so sad we never got to see this at DC!

Nice job, good luck at Champs!

Encoders worked fine for us and never gave out except for one out of four. We could not get one encoder working that tracked the left side of the drive-train but it didn't hurt us too much.

You guys are crazy and we all love you for it. I knew it would happen, it was just a matter of who was going to do it. Truly Epic!

..Plus I won my early season bet with Ike. Thank you Pink Team, you just made my day.

Hmmm. I gotta see it in a match.

Great job guys. I didn't think we would see this until IRI. This is the perfect architectur of bot to execute this move. Very impressive.

Oh yeah got the fischer price on there now!

And btw the tube is offset so we don't sideswipe the second tube that lays on the ground as we drive out. We will adjust it to grab the next two in the center. The new scoring sequence doesnt hit the pegs.

My guess is -- it won't be necessary in IRI.

At Champs, I assume they will use a two tube variant in qualification makes.

They are on the least chatty of the divisions. You have to look for it to find it here in CD.

I would be shocked if this auto alone does not put them in the 3rd seed or better.
