Awesome job. That arm design and roller claw certainly help a lot, but really cool nonetheless.

Share to explain? I was surprised more people did not destroy their racks this year, so I am obviously interested! :p

We actually have video of our bot almost tipping the rack onto the robot, thanks to three people quickly sitting on it, we avoided disaster.

Moral of the story: Communication between the two drivers is key.
Other Moral of the Story: Putting the battery cart over the back of the rack helps to keep from tipping.

This feat is astounding.

We were able to observe the PINK team carefully and methodically push through their issues (PINK ever has issues with their bot??? No way! :ahh:) in DC, which was truly the most inspirational part of their team to us. If this is actually performed in a match and winds up on TBA, it will probably be one of the most watched matches of the season.

I am glad to hear you learned a few things, and that everyone is ok! :) We supported ours to the wall by a few 2x4's. But if that were not the case, I am sure they would have fallen over at least once!

It truly would. Its like 1114's auto in 2008. Unbelievable. :D

This might open up a few new possiblities. Is their something constructive the other two bots can do during auton?

I don't think there is really anything in autonomous besides scoring and positioning the robot for teleop. I guess for a robot like 1503 to be in best position to go into a lane.

so what's the penalty for "accidentally" placing your robot on the field backward, and spearing towards and bumping your opponents so they mis their auto.

not that I'd ever suggest that...

Crossing the center of the field in autonomous is prohibited.

It would cost you a 3 point penalty to cross the center lane.
