Inspirational Disney movies have to have Denzel Washington in them somewhere. Denzel Washington as Koko Ed....(can you tell I've yet to read the book? :-P)

I wonder if it is going to be in theaters or if it going to be one of them that they play on the disney channel all the time. Theaters might be bigger news, but I think having it played on disney channel all the time might get more new members for the teams everywhere. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen "The Luck of the Irish" and "Halloween Town" not to mention many others that they showed 5+ times per day for certain stretches.

Anyone know which way it is going to go? If not, anyone have a preference which way would be better?

Chi McBride would be a better choice.

Top producer Scott Rudin, the force behind movies like No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood, has bought the film rights to the story in association with Disney.

as stated by http://www.nealbascomb.com/blog/file...a9ae576-6.html

I hope no one has completely scraped there 2009 bots yet...

I wonder if they will just extend the 2012/2013/2014 Championships to film the movie or have us go to the Georgia Dome for a totally faux, but totally awesome championship mock up? (that last one has a 0.01% chance of actually happening, but we can dream)

Now Im a bit worried because of movie studios habit of simply buying rights to a movie, not to make it, just to keep it out of the hands of rival companies. But I would hate to see what Dean will do to Disney if filming dosent begin promptly, though XD.

All and all, Im exited for this; and I demand an Oscar...

If you don't believe me bring a camera to a meeting, when some one on your team does something interesting, ask them to do the exact same thing again for the camera, 99% of the time it won't look natural.

Totally agree....

Also, I'm trying to wrap my mind around what a movie would look like.

Drumline ?? Fired Up ?? Bring it on ?? Glee ??

Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom"

Forrest Gump ??

Every kid that joins marching band watches 'drumline', every cheerleader watches a cheerleading movie.

How can you make a movie that has appeal to a general audience ?

This actually wouldn't be totally horrible it could be actually quite funny. @Baker You would come save the day when the team breaks a transmission or something and they would be in a state of panic. Then you show up in a truck and go " You need a hand?" (That's why I don't write anything.)

Will Ferrel for Dean Kamen, he'd totally fit the part.

Sean Connery should play Stan Reifel.

I would stay close to the general flow of the book. The main story line would be 1717 journey to CMP. Use it to set the tone for the movie. As the build season starts, bring mix in the stories from HOT, Thunderchicken, and Two Train Robotics. Show all of them coming together at CMP tying all the stories together. Maybe even change the ending a bit to have them all competing on Einstein. At the end of the movie, do one of those bits where they show the character and a little narrative of where they are now.
