Error Code Confusion
We are a rookie team--still learing the ropes. Recently we were driving our robot when it stopped turning in one direction. We thought that we had burned out the motor because it was steaming hot and we had been driving it for 2 hours strait. We waited a day and then we ran tests on the motors and they appear to run fine. The laptop reads "Error 44061: The loop that contains robot drive is not running fast enough" then it also said Error: left and right motors in VI path. This makes us think there is a code problem. Here is were we are confused: what caused this code issue? Our robot ran great/no problems during 2 competitions. Our code is very basic--rookie stuff. This makes me think that the error has something to do with our extra long driving session. How would this effect the code?Maybe there is something wrong with the jaguars--unfortunately I am not sure how to test the jaguar. To be honest I kind of enjoy the fact that problems have popped up becuase it gives us a reason to work on the robot--always fun. Unfortunatly, we are getting ready to make presentation for a potential sponsor and it would be great to having a working robot to show off. Any advice would be appreciated.

If it only happens once, what it means is that the LabVIEW code framework isn't quite perfect and there is nothing wrong with your program. Does it just show up a single time immediately after your robot powers up? If it happens repeatedly while you're driving your robot, what it means is that you probably have too much going on in your Teleop code and your program isn't able to command the motors often enough. When that happens, you'll find that the robot drive motors get shut off briefly. |
