A FIRST Music Experiment- 2011 Beantown Blitz
 

Hey Everyone!

While planning the Beantown Blitz, I had an idea that I want to try out with my fellow FIRST-ers. There have been many music threads created in years past about what songs people like to hear at events. These are a great resource for my team when we are planning events like the Beantown Blitz and coming up with a playlist thats appropriate and fun.

What we wanted to do for this years Beantown Blitz is have the FIRST community help us make the playlist interactively!

To do this, we decided to use a site called Grooveshark, which I'm sure many of you are familiar with. For those who are not, Grooveshark is an "online radio" site where you can search for music and create playlists online. You can listen to those songs through Grooveshark's website.

What we have done is created an account for the Beantown Blitz. What I want YOU all to do is help us make the playlist! If there are songs you love to hear at FIRST events, search for them on Grooveshark and add them to the "2011 Beantown Blitz" playlist on the left side of the screen. We of course will be monitoring this list for duplicates and inappropriate songs, but I trust most of you to make good judgement.

The list is filling up quickly! Lots of good choices, and some questionable ones...but for now I'm leaving the list as is.

With the Blitz only 5 days away, we are going to start refining the playlist a bit.

However, that doesn't mean we want people to stop adding to the list! Feel free to continue adding songs and make the Blitz sound how you want it to!!
