IFI mecanum code

My team has an IFI controlled mecanum chassis sitting around. it drives, but the code is a mess (it has 2 motors reversed and a couple scenarios make it not drive as it should).

I have NO idea on how IFI C++ works... the closed I came was learning pBASIC to control Boe-Bots in my PLTW DE class... and that was sending pwm pulses two 2 servos (650-850). I also know labview but i know that is not very relevant

the student that wrote the code in fall 08 is long since left the team and the mentor that helped out is not here a lot...

the controller is a 2005 model (based on other parts donated to team by 554). all the victors are 884's (of various vintages) on pwm's 1-4. if it matters, it uses 4 cims and an IFI PD board.

anybody have some tweakable code or advice on where to begin; I don't even know what software I need... I wasn't a programmer back in 08 (my rookie year).

Our 2008 code was for mecanum drive uses a single 3d attack pro joystick, hopefully that is useful for you. If you have any questions, PM programMORT11 on here.

UPS also had Mecanum back in the old IFI days. If you can pm BigJ, I'm sure he'd be helpful. :)

Larry,

Last summer for an off-season project we built and programmed a mecanum drive with the IFI controller. You can check out the code on our SVN server if you want it, but I will need to give you a user id and passwd. PM for that on Monday if you want the code.

Re: IFI mecanum code

good news!

turns out the guy who wrote the code is returning for his senior year (he took the junior year off) and is willing to help fix the code.
