FAST Robotics seeking Mechanical Engineer Intern
 
FAST Robotics is a start-up company based in St. Louis, Missouri that designs and builds UAV's for the Industrial, Civil and Residential inspection communities.


FAST Robotics is currently seeking 1 qualified individual for an internship regarding design engineering. Our interns are a vital part of the FAST Robotics team, and serve as valuable members of our business team. The intern will work on modeling various components of the ICARUS product line.

The ideal intern will be self motivated, highly detail oriented, and have a real interest in all functions of engineering. The intern should also relish making a contribution to a new and upcoming business based in southern Illinois. The intern should have experience in 3D/2D mechanical design, Bill of Material (BOM) Generation, parametric modeling and knowledge of various fabrication techniques.

The intern will be able to work from home, 5-10 hours per week on projects coordinated by the FAST Robotics Lead Engineer.

Assuming I read this correctly, "working from home" meaning from anywhere in the US? or from home in the local St. Louis area?

Akash - As long as certain basic requirements are met (internet, phone support, that kind of thing) we will consider applicants from around the world.

I assume you are building these with the hopes of some sort of military contract. ITAR is not very friendly when it comes to any defense information going to any non US person. It's a particularly broad piece of legislature. Of course, it's all legalese to me, so your mileage may very. :)

I believe investor money is "capital" too. :)
