Fundraiser Ideas

Alright so my team was planning on doing a Fundraiser by volunteering at this fireworks warehouse. But due to the drought conditions and the Fire Ban enforced, that is no longer the option :(

What type of fundraising ideas do you guys know that would help during the summer? I was thinking of a Carwash or something because without school the candy fundraiser will be ineffective in sales.

Recommendations?

Many local restaurants will give portions of their profits on certain days/nights (sometimes with special coupons only) to local fundraising efforts, like Robotics. We've done it before many times, and it's a good place to start. We're also trying to organize a car wash for our team this summer, and it should hopefully be successful if all goes as planned. Good luck!

Our team cleans a local college hockey arena after games. we usually do it 2 or 3 times each year. with about 30 people it takes about 3 hours and we get $800 each time.

We had an idea that we have not implemented yet: building a polycarb box the size of one of our robots, with a little slot in it for donations, and then putting it in places like our mall, or other events. has anyone tried this or have any input?

Why would people just put money inside a big clear box?

whoops, forgot to mention the most important part. we put a robot inside the box, and put a poster explaining FIRST and our team near it.
