Brian & Justin are Right

Posted on 3/28/99 4:04 PM MST I'm not sure I agree with the sudden change to the 3 team alliance, especially if one team does not get to (or have to) contribute in at least one match per round. Regardless of 2 or 3 team alliances however, I agree 100% with Brian and Justin, along with the others who feel that the top 8 seeds have earned the right to CHOOSE the alliances - NOT the teams being ASKED into the playoffs. As Brian & Justin have stated, making the rule of NO REJECTIONS takes care of almost all the problems people are concerned about. * No pre-florida agreements (if we make it we pick you, if you make it you pick us) * No pre-elimination round picked super alliances * & seeding actually will mean something. those 8 teams, in order of 1-8, deserve to alliance with whoever they feel is the best team available for them. They earned that right. I really hope FIRST makes this a rule. Congratulations to the Great Lakes playoffs teams, finalists, & champions! Jason |
