2nd Java IO Question

We're still working on our off season project, and would like to know if it is legal for Java code have multiple files open at once(for example, multiple open FileConnection objects in existance), and, if it exists, the maximum number that can be opened at once. There doesn't seem to be much documentation on the subject, and it isn't possible for us to test it at this point.

You can definitely open more than one FileConnection at a time (I have done it). I have no idea what the maximum is, however.

Thank you once again! You guys have (hopefully) saved us a lot of testing time!
