Did...Did an inbounder just win a regional?

Wow. Those are the best eliminations I have watched all year. Fantastic job 8th alliance, it's ridiculous how good they were for an 8th seed.

Blue bot on red bridge controversy aside, those were phenomenal elimination matches to watch.

Somebody buy that inbounder a steak dinner!

No! Just because it's the last score doesn't mean he won it! Gah!!!

But yeah, sure, he won the regional for them :p

I take it back. If he hadn't made it, it would have gone to first tie breaker, fouls, and they would have won anyways. But they were tied in hybrid and bridge, so it was really close to being a tie.

Congratulations to the number 8 alliance 45-3940-781!

Beating out 48-1038-3193, the alliance that incurred the questionable 3 point penalty....

Oh yes, those tiebreakers. Very opposed to those. But let's stick to the even more controversial debate: Bridge defense

True that. If they would've won that would've caused a lot of debate.

This is not a put down to the number 8 alliance, this is just an unbiased observation. But Queen City is proof that an average alliance that can coordinate a triple balance is deadly.

Huge win for Teams 3940, 45 and 781. 781 has pulled off some big upsets this year, but none bigger than winning Queen City from the 8th alliance. Huge congratulations to them!

If you haven't noticed, that was not your average alliance.

3940 and 781 are great top-hoop shooters, and that's what kept them alive and close. 45 did an incredible job scouting and picking out those two teams.

Well, I wouldn't call them average if they can triple balance!

They built a good alliance that could excel at all aspects of the game, and worked in unison better than anyone. Congrats 3940, 45, and 781.

DOUBLE BAKER! What does it mean???

I think personally that any alliance that can triple is a formidable opponent IMO, 48 is a good team and I believe if teams sleep on them they will have problems at champs.

Congrats to the #8 alliance. They knocked off #1 with the triple balance and never let up.

Fantastic kickoff for a new Regional.

Dean was there most of the afternoon.

I have a question about FTC teams: If they're meant to be an 'in between' for FLL and FRC, why aren't they aimed at a middle school audience?

EDIT: It's related to this thread because Dean just gave out new homework for every FRC team to help start FTC teams in a speech at Queen City.
