Bridge

Our Robot is having communication problems, so we replaced the bridge. now it works, but only if the bridge is completely booted before we turn on the CRIO. If they boot simultaneously, the bridge freezes. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by "The bridge freezes"?

Do you just mean that the bridge and cRIO fail to communicate?

Can a laptop browse to the bridge, both wired & wirelessly?

Depending on what's really happening to the bridge and what the symptoms are, there are some simple things you can try to get a better idea of what's wrong, like connecting the cable between the bridge cRIO after they boot, or using the reset button on the cRIO.

When you say "bridge" do you mean the white DAP? Is its switch set for Bridge, AP, or Auto? Normally you should use it in AP mode (unless you're at a competition, where it is set to Bridge mode).

Never put it in Auto mode. While it will often work that way eventually, it usually takes a very long time to figure out what you want it to do after it is powered up.

The bridge mode LED indicator goes from blinking (good) to solid (apparently bad) the laptop never sees the cRIO when this occurs. when we allow the bridge to boot completely before booting the cRIO, however, everything works fine.
