Autonomus Tracking?

I normally program in python, but the team I am on uses Labview. I am new to labview so I was wondering if anyone knew how to track the ends of the poles in autonomus. Thanks for your help!

There was a white paper that described he background info and general approach to measuring the location of the tape. You may also find it useful to look at the vision related examples.
