I wonder if...

I thought it would be fun to find out what number childs (e.g. only child, first child, second child, etc...) we all are and see if there is any correlation between child # (and how many siblings you have) and being into robotics.

I'm the 'last of two' as I voted.. but my brother.. the 'first of two' also did FIRST.. but he hasn't for the last couple years (major into it 9-12.. fiddled with it his freshman year of college.. since has not participated)...

just an fyi.. because a true 'study' would have to see what other children may possible be into, have been, or are interested in robotics.. :P

have fun.

First of two, here.

But... thanks to Star Trek -- my dad calls me '1 of 2'

????

Technically i'm the 1st of 2, BUT where is your check box for TWINS!!.....lol.......;) ;)

Andy Baker 30-10-2001 22:07

Where is the...

Where is the box for the middle of 12?

I've got two brothers, a half brother, a haf sister, 4 step brothers and 3 step sisters.

Growing up in this kind of family gets you use to chaos, that's for sure.

I'm the oldest of three :)

Christina 30-10-2001 23:14

My family's confusing. Technically...I'm the middle of 6. I have 16 years to my oldest sibling and I have 16 years to my youngest sibling, kinda scary, huh? But, here's how it works...My oldest sister who is 35 is my mother's first child with her first husband, so she is my half sister. My second oldest sister is 27 and she is my full sister. My younger brother who is 15, my younger sister who is 12, and my youngest sister is 2 (who's birthday is tomorrow...we also have a weird thing with holidays) and they're my dad's and my step mother's children. As far as the holidays thing goes...my oldest sister was born on New Year's Eve, I was supposed to be born on Christmas (same day as Joe Ross :)), my younger sister was born on Columbus Day, and my youngest sister was born on Halloween. Well, okay, that's enough about my family. :D

PS - Woohoo!! I'm finally a senior member!! Took me forever :)

Joe Ross 30-10-2001 23:18

I'm the oldest of three and have been doing FIRST the last 5 years.

My sister did it in 9th and 10th and is doing it again in 12th.

My little brother is starting this year, in 8th.

And my Mom and Dad have done it for the last 4 years too :)

Lora Knepper 31-10-2001 18:36

Just me :)

I think if there was another of me, my mother would shoot herself... one robotics nut is enough for her! They thought I was going to be twins when I was born  though!

I'm the first of two. My bro's 15 months younger than me and a grade behind me in school. He did FIRST when he was in 6th and 7th but not after that. He came to a few meetings last year then got scared off or something. But everyone wants him on the team for his video and grahpics skills. And, contrary to belief..we do not look alike..and that's final! *glares at EJ*

Sencond oldest of 5. With a half-sister (5), a half brother (3), a sister (14), and a brother (18). Myself being 16. I also have a step-mom, step-dad, mom, and a dad. But only my brother and I participate.

Technically I'm an only child. I dont think anyone could handle more of me, so if I have kids... things could get really interesting. No one else in my family does anything with FIRST, unless you count my granndparents who think it's really great and check in on my team all the time. Some of the people I know are more like family than friends so I'm almost like the youngest of 4. They offer help whenever they can but aren't realy involved with FIRST. Family dynamics at my house(s) can get really... awkward. ...hrm... has anyone ever noticed that awkward is spelled awkwardly? Anyway, thats enough for now.

EddieMcD 11-11-2001 21:46

First of 3; 9 year difference between the middle one and me.

Kit Gerhart 18-11-2001 17:05

I'm the second of two. We both have the same birthday, but three years apart.

D.J. Fluck 20-11-2001 20:20
