Which FIRST promo video to choose?
 

Our team is going to have a new parent and student night when school starts up again, and we want to know what promo video for FIRST/FRC we should present to the parents and new students to teach them about FIRST/FRC.

Should we do this one, on the FRC website: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=Ig0xwD4MyT0?

Should we do the one with Morgan Freeman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IbonBBnARk&list=LL02y4Wv89OTj671KdbxCOdg& index=10&feature=plpp_video?

One that isn't posted here? Please post anything you think would be adequate to show. It can be FIRST made or team made.

I don't have a link to it, but search on Youtube for "First Robotics Promotional Mix." It's a nice combination of the opening videos to Kickoff 2007 and Kickoff 2008. If that video is too long for your needs, then look into using the one just from 2008 (or 2007, but I always liked the 2008 one more). You can find those on Youtube as well.

It may be too late, but you could use this video that I made for my team (FRC 1716).

This video will be played on the announcements at my school this week (right before build season).

It was rendered entirely in Autodesk 3ds Max and a lot of work went into it:

I would definitely say the Morgan Freeman one, simply because the name recognition of such a big celebrity is such a boost to FIRST in my opinion. It clearly explains the goals of FIRST and definitely shows how "sporting event-like" competitions can be-something that simply can't be verbally described.

Not too late at all! We'll be doing another presentation this Wednesday for people who didn't come last semester. BTW, the video was AWESOME! That's amazing! Great job! Thanks for posting it. :D

Team 1899 created this video for FIRST Washington. It was played at all Washington state kickoffs last year, and it does a pretty good job describing FRC in an exciting way.

The introduction is sad...then thrilling. You'll see ;)

I heven't clicked on it yet, but I think I may have seen it before. If it is what I think, Great job! if it isn't, it's from Saint's robotics, so it must be good! I'm off to go watch it now! :D
