MIT's Research Science Institute

I recently got an email from MIT about their Research Science Institute (RSI) for juniors, and I'm thinking of applying now. Their website: http://www.cee.org/research-science-institute

A question to the seniors or alumni: Has anyone else here done this? If so, is there anything I should know about the thing in general?

Re: MIT's Research Science Institute

I've heard good things about the program in general. It's for "really smart high schoolers" and I know a few who attended before coming to MIT (I graduated this past June). If you are interested in MIT then it might also give you a good idea of the culture on campus, and Boston life. If you'd like, PM me and I can probably find some friends who participated, though I don't think any of them did FIRST.

The program is actually free, otherwise I'd pass. And yes, I would like to see what MIT is like. Thanks for the info.

Similarly, while I didn't do RSI, I can probably find you some MIT students who did to get in contact with. As the name implies, it's very research-intensive, so I'd just make sure that is actually where your interests lie.
