We are team 1208, the Metool Brigade. As we start our tenth year in FRC we have 120 student members and 5 mentors. We operate out of O'Fallon, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis, Mo. (Home of the World Series Champion Cardinals). This year we will be competing at the Greater Kansas City Regional and the St. Louis Regional, as well as the Championships, in St. Louis.
We have won 13 different awards throughout the years, but never a Chairman's Award, so look out St. Louis, we are still reaching for the brass ring! |

Re: Who is team ####?
I am on team 2733 The Pigmice. We are known locally for our sometimes crazy ideas. Our team started competing in lego league (and won the world championship). Now as an FRC team, we have expanded and look to broaden peoples views of STEM fields.
http://www.pigmice.com/#! (don't judge, new website going up on kickoff). This year we will compete at our local Portland regional and at the Spokane regional. We look forward to a good year. Minibot deployment at the Portland regional. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouz1F...G1TG-qBtarvkGQ I will update this post with a picture of the team. Or you can look at my avatar pic (this is one of those crazy ideas that I mentioned). :) |
Re: Who is team ####?
We're team 639, (the first) Code Red Robotics from Ithaca NY. We've been around since 2001, and have won regionals in 2004 and 2005. Since then, we have reliably gotten into the semifinals at atleast one regional, and our showing has been improving as well. Our team has grown astronomically in the last two years--from 35 to 60. Though this presents many hurdles, our team has kept our base philosophy that the robot should be led, designed, built, and tested by students with the mentors acting as a very valuable safety net. To this, major decisions remain a popular democratic vote, and the club is run fully by student officers. We're pretty well known for being 'those guys with the tank', which is an image we are trying to change. In the past years, we've used tank tread and way too much T-slot to make a robot that is unbreakable, but quite slow and heavy.
Here's one of the more recent pictures of our team at FLR 2010. We're returning there this year, as we always do, and taking a trip to Washington DC for our second regional! ![]() |
Re: Who is team ####?
We are team 88 (TJ^2), We have been in FIRST since 1996. We are based out of Bridgewater-Raynham regional Highschool in Massachusetts. Currently we have around 60 students on our team and travel with the top 40 students ranked on the team. Ranking is decided from fundraising and hours spent working on team related things. Each year our team travels to the boston competition and one other, this year we chose the Chesapeake regional.

Re: Who is team ####?
The Xerox/Wilson Magnet X-Cats are a FIRST Legacy team and the only two time winner of the Chairman's award which makes them the only team who officially qualifies for the world championship twice beforehand. As we are fond of saying we do not just build robots we build people.

We are Team 399, Eagle Robotics from Lancaster, California. Based out of Lancaster High School(drawing students from Eastside and Quartz Hill high schools this year, and in previous years adopting the members of now defunct FRC1110 of Highland HS).
Over the years, we've spawned three FRC teams(585, 1110, 2339), one FTC team(FVC 399, now FTC72), and countless FLL teams. Typically, we are attendants of either the San Diego or Los Angeles regionals, and some regional out of state. This will be our second year of attending three regionals: San Diego, Utah, and Colorado. For all of our years of being a team, we've qualified for the Championship event. Our major achievements include, but aren't limited to: -Regional Chairman's award @ LA 2007 -Regional Chairman's award @ LA 2008 -Regional Champions @ Colorado 2009 -Division Finalists @ Curie 2009 -IRI Champions 2010 -Regional Champions @ Utah 2011 Our team is willing to assist any team in need at any competitions we attend. Team 2993, here.
Our rookie year was 2009. We're the only FRC team in Cache Valley and span multiple schools with our base of operations at InTech Collegiate High. A few letters from us after our rookie year in Las Vegas got support from the state legislature for the Utah Regional, and it was held the next year. We've gotten a little better every year, from not making eliminations, to quarterfinals, to finals, and hope to make it to Championships this year. Good luck everyone. |
Re: Who is team ####?
Hello there, this is Sumathi from team 2410 CAPS Metal Mustang Robotics, commonly recognized on web casts as "that one team with silver cowboy hats". For those of you familiar with us you may be wondering why our name is slightly changed this year. Last season our team became a district team which meets at the Center of Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS). In the past we have won the rookie all star award, and awards at the Oklahoma and Greater Kansas City Regionals.
This year we attended the Greater Kansas City regional and will be attending the Oklahoma Regional. As of now I believe we have around 45 students and about 10 mentors that works with us. |
Re: Who is team ####?
Here is the team taking their pre-competition examination, required for eligibility for attending a regional.

Re: Who is team ####?
We're team 1071, MAX, located out of Wolcott, Connecticut, and 2012 is the milestone of our 10th season. We serve the students of Wolcott High School, as well as a few Wolcott Students who attend other area schools.
Our team on average has about 30 students a year, and 7-10 fantastic mentors. We are a frequenter of the Connecticut Regional in Hartford, as well as throughout the Northeast Invitational circuit. One thing to mention about our teams that's special is that we host the Where is Wolcott? Invitational. This yearly off-season event held in June takes a laid-back approach to FRC, with the day mainly about just getting a great chance to use your robots in actual matches, and to party with your FIRST friends. My favorite team picture: ![]() Check us out on the web http://max1071.com |

We're Team 2601 - the Steel Hawks - from Flushing, NY. Our team started in 2008 with 7 students and 2 mentors from Townsend Harris High School. This year, we have grown to about 40 students and 10 mentors. We're still a young team and have a lot of catching up to do but it's been fun so far!
I don't have an updated group picture but this is some of us right before we bagged our robot. We're looking forward to the NYC Regional! Good luck all! ;) Attachment 12250 |
Re: Who is team ####?
We are team 3397, the Robolions, from University City, Mo. In our short 3 years in FIRST, we have won a highest rookie seed and one reigonal victory (with 1985 and 3284). Last year at our reigonal we became known as "That team with the PVC", and we are carrying on our legacy this year.
Our blog: http://www.robolions3397.blogspot.com/ I have no team pictures, but there should be some of individuals on the blog. |
Re: Who is team ####?
Hello, Rookie Team 4276 here. Just wrapped up in the San Diego Regionals. Did great -- 12th seed, and put up a good fight in the quarterfinals but lost to the eventual champion team.
Team photo: ![]() That was just after losing the quarterfinal, so everyone was a bit tired and disappointed. Obviously we were thrilled to do so well in the regional, however. And here is the robot: ![]() |
