Re: Who is team ####?

Aloha! I'm the coach for team 2348, the Cool Geeks from Moanalua High School in Honolulu, Hawaii! Pleased to meet all of you! Our team had our start in 2008, at the first FRC regional in Hawaii. We've competed every year since, and have one regional champion title under our belt from 2009. Just remember, "We're the coolest geeks you'll ever meet!"

Also, there are 10 kinds of people in the world. Us Cool Geeks and those who have no idea what we're talking about right now.

(If you get it, honorary Cool Geek for you!

FRC team 1023 Bedford Express out of Temperance MI! Our team this year is around 40 students, half the team consisting of freshmen! We are attending the Detroit District this season, and we are hosting our own district in Bedford for the first time! We placed 3rd in Michigan last year, and 14th in the world. We are definitely excited for this year's competitions, and plan on making into States, and eventually Worlds! Our robot this year is named Ms. Spocke, each letter representing an important mentor to our team. On behalf of Bedford Express, I hope to see you all at the competitions!

Re: Who is team ####?

Speaking of Bedford (good transition :p), I'm one of the mentors for team 964 out of Bedford, OH, whose rookie year was 2003.

We had to take a hiatus due to a lack of funding, but thanks to some awesome people (including the principle!), we will be starting back up in time for the 2014 season. We attend the wonderful Buckeye Regional in Cleveland, usually placing as close to last as humanly possible. That doesn't stop us from having fun, and maybe even learning something.

We've generally held around 10-20 students each year, even though the high school has over 700 students. Marketing and public awareness is something that we're working on. In 2008 we had a short news piece on a Saturday between the Olympics which definitely got a good amount of local attention.

We're team 3260 from the Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is our fourth year competing and we've grown from about 5 members with 2 mentors to 20 members (a large portion of which is below 10th grade) with around 5 mentors. We typically only compete at the regional held at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh but this year we will also be competing at the Buckeye Regional.

We are team 706 The CYBERHAWKS from Hartland, Wisconsin! Our rookie year was 2001.

We attend the Wisconsin Regional every year (Midwest before the Wisconsin Regional was created), and for the first time in the team's history, this year we will attend a second regional (the Buckeye Regional).

In recent years, our team has done well in competition. We have attended championships 2 times in the past 3 years. This year is shaping up to be our best season yet!

We are also increasing our outreach. My personal favorite event we attended was the pack-expo in Chicago. We were featured in first snapshots! Link

Team 2383 the Ninjineers

Located in Plantation, Florida, we are seven years old and have really grown in the past few years. In 2011, we won our first FRC award ever at the Orlando Regional- the Spirit Award! Although not revered by some, we love to be spirited (and everyone else loves it too!) and have won every Spirit Award since then.

In 2012 (Rebound Rumble) we made the elimination rounds for the first time ever at an official FRC event at the Orlando Regional. Then we made it again in the South Florida Regional.

This year about 60 kids and 7 mentors are going on the trip with us to Orlando next week. We will also attend South Florida later in March, and hopefully Nationals in April!

Our signature cheer:
GO NINJA GO
TA TA KAI

We are The Mech Warriors, Team 573 out of Bloomfield hills, MI.

Team 573 is a combination of students from Brother Rice and Marian High Schools. We have around 30 students this year, and i believe it is the largest ratio of Newcomers to Veterans that 573 has seen; besides our rookie year ;). This is our 12th year and we are participating in the Waterford, Grand Blanc, and Bedford Districts. Currently in our arsenal, we are holding two blue banners; 2007 Great Lakes regional Winners and 2010 Ann Arbor District Winners. We were ranked 5th at MSC and 9th at Galileo in St. Louis last year.

Good luck to everyone this FRC season!

We are Fernbank LINKS team 4468 from Atlanta GA. We are a team of 30 students who are based out of Fernbank Science Center in Deklab County. Our team is made up of students for about 15 different schools throughout metro-Atlanta who all come together to do robotics. We started off participating in BEST robotics ten years ago and joined up with North Atlanta High School to form team 3694 in 2011. This year we have branched off to form our own rookie team. We have been close with many Atlanta teams over the years so thought this season we have gotten lots of help from seasoned professionals in particular the Grady Gearbox Gangsters. This season we have built a robot that is very small (2 feet tall and 60 lbs) that can through frisbees full court. We will be participating in the Peachtree Regional March 14-16 and are hoping to win Rookie Allstar.

Hello everyone! The Boys and Girls Club of North Central Massachusetts (otherwise known as the uninhabited woodland beyond I-495 XD) in Leominster is proud to present Team 3623, the TerrorBots. This year is our third year of existence. Like our parent organization, TerrorBots accepts members from all over North Central Mass, with our highest density of members living in Leominster and Fitchburg.

Currently we have roughly 10 students and 7 mentors. We may have a small team but you can guarantee that we have the spirit of a much larger team. See you at the WPI Regional!
