Re: 2012 Catalyst Simulator question

We have registered our account, we have set everything up, but we cannot log in. It gives us a server connection error.

"Could not connect to server. Check internet connection or try again later."

I am connected to the internet (as i am posting this from the same computer).

Any ideas?

[RESOLVED] - School's internet wouldn't allow even with our own proxy

You may need to set your firewall to allow Catalyst 2012 to connect to the internet. You can also try making sure your antivirus software is not blocking the game. Let us know if this works for you.

We're having fun with the game but how do you add other players? What controllers do you have to add?

Thanks!

The game supports six players. Four Xbox 360 controllers and 2 on the same keyboard.

To add Controller players plug in your Xbox 360 controllers and press "A" to log in the new player.

If you want to play with two players on the same keyboard, when logging in with the keyboard click the check box for 2 players.(If your already logged in single player on keyboard. Log out and log back in with the 2 player check box checked.)

The only information we verify is the team number, city, and state (or equivalent). Students or Mentors can create the account. Also, you can download the game to as many computers as you would like. However, you will only be able to play with your team's account on one computer at a time.

If I may ask, why is that? It seems like it would be good to let people play with it at home. We would be willing to buy extra licenses if need be.

Sorry to double post, but this is on a completely separate subject.

I logged into our account on the program, and then the program crashed. It remained logged in. How can I log off the program to refresh the session?

Any idea why it keeps telling me the game stopped working?

Due to legal reasons, we are only allowed to release one copy of the game per team. This may change as the season continues.

Also, we have a system in place that will log you out after just a few minutes if the game exits unexpectedly. Try logging in again soon.

So can the whole team download it or is there only one download available to the team? Would like to know before we go ahead downloading it and then go restricting the rest of the team from accessing it...

Re: 2012 Catalyst Simulator question

With all of the problems I see teams reporting, and the lack of any option to play "stand-alone"/off-line I don't see the value ...

Hate to be a Debbie Downer ... but why bother?

The whole team can download the game and install it if they would like. However, only one computer can log into the game at a time.

If I may ask, what legal reasons? 5th Gear has done a simulation for several years, and that wasn't one copy per team. I have attempted a simulation for the last two years as well.

I'm currently installing this on another computer to see if it works.

EDIT: No good on second install, either. It's not as good as the first desktop I tried it on, but specs are:

Windows 7 Home Premium 32
3 GHz Pentium 4 HT
2.25 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT
