1771 2012 shooter test
Looks like it just needs a few tweaks and it will be ready to go!
Shooter Test Edit: By the way, that trash can is 20" in diameter, 2" larger than the actual hoop, so competition results can be expected to be worse. |
Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
Let's see the bot first! :p It may just be a 2006 bot in disguise!

Obviously its some motors spinning in the background and a person shooting the ball. Pictures or it didn't happen. :o

Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
Nice work thus far!
Make sure you test that thing on a hoop as soon as you can. You will be surprised how relatively small of a target that is. -Brando |

That's the 2009 bot.

Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
Oh that nasty chain sound from 2006. How about some timing belts and pulleys to quiet it down.

Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
(I'm going under the assumption that it is actually a prototype throwing the balls). How did you build a structure/shooter that fast?

Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
Didn't you all have a shooter on the top of your robot in 2009? I am trying to remember. I am pretty sure you did. If so, that modified would be perfect.

Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
I'm curious - what height were you holding the shooting mechanism at, and how far away from the hoop was it? I'm trying to get a better sense for how that would equate to on the field performance.

Re: 1771 2012 shooter test
This is definitely real. I can see the corner of the 2009 shooter in the bottom left corner of the screen. Glad to see the shooter is still running strong.
