5.3.6 Qualification Seeding
In the manual it states the ranking system as follows
1st order sort Qualification Score 2nd order sort Cumulative sum of Hybrid Hoop points 3rd order sort Cumulative sum of Bridge points 4th order sort Cumulative sum of Teleop Hoop points 5th order sort Random sorting by the FMS Emphasis Mine Im wondering how FMS will be able to tell which robot is doing the scoring in Hybrid/TeleOP My only guess would be it's the cumulative sum (For example) of all Hybrid scoring done in all matches you're in regardless of who's actually doing the scoring. Anyone think differently? |
Re: 5.3.6 Qualification Seeding
I would imagine that's what's how it works, because it would be rather odd (and a rather large waste of resources) to see 6 people each watching a different robot just to keep track of qualification score TIEBREAKERS. If the FMS could do it, then it would be worth it, but since the FMS is currently unable to determine who scored, it's not worth the resources.
Another thing, if it was done by individual scoring, then feeder or defensive robots would be father down on the seeding list in any particular bracket, which would mean there would be no incentive to play anything other than offense. |
Re: 5.3.6 Qualification Seeding
Stuff like this in the past has been cumulative points of the whole alliance. For example in 2010, a robot that couldn't hang could have some hanging points because their allies hung in some matches.
