Re: [NE FIRST] Match Video Mega Thread

As Nathan from Mechanical Mayhem so kindly pointed out, the Ligerbots have a lot of video on our channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgNgdmtDs7d58dVR-80DCGA. Most of this is, of course, devoted...

Re: Chartering a plane for NE FIRST teams to St. Louis

Boston area teams -- it looks like the plane charter is not to be. Apparently, while Southwest would in theory do this charter, they don't actually have a plane available for the dates we...

Re: Canburglar Battle Videos

Btw, the Ligerbots (2877) YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgNgdmtDs7d58dVR-80DCGA has videos for the New England Championship that are far better than the official feed. We have all...

Re: Our robot did something unique(?) at the New England Championship

Cory --

I left early and didn't see that!

But my video team stayed. Here's a better video for you: http://youtu.be/kvXCKvbgGm4 (I'll be uploaded nearly all the quarter final, semi final, and final...

Our robot did something unique(?) at the New England Championship

Video here: http://youtu.be/X-IgM9Dp7-A, watch the part after our alliance partner falls over.

Unfortunately, that match did not go well for us overall -- but at least we got the loudest applause of...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO

I believe I tried a few -q choices, but it was a while ago now.

I measured the bandwidth using the Windows task manager. Since there was nothing else on the WiFi between the laptop and the robot...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO

It's worse than I thought. My earlier comparison was with the MJPG streamer at 10 fsp and my robot program at 24fps. The MJPG streamer uses about 3 times the bandwidth as the WPILib streamer running...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO

Actually, it turns out the default shell script was working for me. I had forgotten to shut down FRCProgram, which also opened the camera!

But your scripts for starting, etc. will be helpful if we...

Re: Need help transferring coed to different comupters

We usually just call them female students nowadays, or since they're still in High School, you're still allowed to call them "girls".

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO

When I try to run this, I'm getting an error opening the /dev/video0 device. I have a Logitech P930e plugged in, which should certainly support the requested...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO

I'm trying to set this to test. Where did you guys install the ./www pages on the roboRIO?

Easiest thing that I can see is just to put everything under /var/local/natinst/www, since that would avoid...

Re: Talon SRX Position PID Control Issue

We use the Talon in a similar manner to control our up/down elevator. By default, it's set to hold the elevator in place. But we also have manual joystick control (actually the triggers on an Xbox...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO

Have you guys run this during a competition yet? I would be concerned about the bandwidth taken by two simultaneous video streams. In the past, we've accidentally saturated the feed between our...

Re: HELP! CommandGroup not working

We fixed it. No time for full explanation now, but needless to say, it's my opinion that key confusion in SmartDashboard Put commands should not set up a condition that disables the robot..

I'll...

Re: HELP! CommandGroup not working

Test Bot sitting in my basement.

We bought two of the new control systems. One is on a standard AndyMark kit chassis that's similar enough to the real robot to run our production code (with a bunch...

Re: HELP! CommandGroup not working

Well here's a new data point:

All of our Autonomous Command classes had a #include "../robot.h" in them (the students can be pretty sloppy about these things). I had meant to clean this up, but you...

Thanks for looking at this. Actually, pretty much all the glitches you point out we've already fixed. Sorry for the confusion about branches, but the latest is at:...

Re: HELP! CommandGroup not working

Don't think so. None of the commands in our command groups seem to get run at all. Look at https://github.com/ligerbots/RecycleRush2015Robot/blob/dartFriday/src/Commands/Delay.cpp -- a command that...

Re: HELP! CommandGroup not working

You're welcome to all of it: https://github.com/ligerbots/RecycleRush2015Robot/tree/dartFriday

Specifically, if look at line 149 of Robot.cpp in AutonomousInit(). You'll see a commented out...

Re: C++ USB Camera Errors

It's just flakey. Many of the underlying classes don't return errors (mostly declared void). If anything goes wrong, it just keeps spewing errors to the message window on the dashboard.

This is much...

Post IMAQdx -- how do I set the camera mode?

In C++. I've dumped the modes and I want #95 (this is part of the list):

Video mode[94] is 320 x 240 JPEG 20.00 fps = 94
Video mode[95] is 320 x 240 JPEG 15.00 fps = 95
Video mode[96] is 320 x...

Re: WPILib C++ Deploy went away?

OK, to answer part of my own question -- I did an update on the WPILib FRC plugins, and got back the WPILib C++ Deploy -- for now at least.

I'd still like to know where/how this is configured in...
