Re: Multiple Cameras on Smart Dashboard

Be aware, that in previous years at least, there wasn't enough bandwidth in the Field Management System for multiple video streams.

One year I tried increasing our video feed from 320 x 240 to 640 x...

WPILib C++ Deploy went away?

We're using Eclipse and C++. On at least one of our laptops, we no longer see the option for Run As -> WPILib C++ Deploy on our projects, and it's intermittent on the other. I.e. the optioned...

Re: Running Robot Builder directly from Eclipse C++

Yes, the WPILib menu in Eclipse seems to be broken on most, but not all, of the computers we've set up.

The whole process of setting up Eclipse and installing the FRC tools seems overly complex and...

Re: Vision Request: Grey Crates

Even outside autonomous, it could be useful to have a vision system that automatically aligns your robot with the crate for pickup.

I'm not sure if we'll have time to develop such code, but if...

Re: FRC 2015 Update Suite won't install on 64-bit Windows?

Never mind.

My first attempt to unzip it had the wrong password, which left some improperly decrypted files around (including setup.exe), which were not overwritten when I correctly unzip'd it the...

FRC 2015 Update Suite won't install on 64-bit Windows?

After downloading and unzip'ing the FRC 2015 Update Suite (https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-34731), when I double-click on setup.exe on a 64-bit Windows 7 system I get an error:

"The version...

Re: Should FRC Team name = HS athletic team name?

Our name was inspired by the athletic teams.

There are two high schools in our town, simply called Newton North and Newton South. Newton North calls its teams Tigers, and South calls its teams...

Re: roboRIO shipped today

So what's the point in letting us order this early?

We were hoping to set this up and at least load a simple drive program on a spare chassis to get some experience before kickoff.

Re: roboRIO shipped today

Ours just shipped today also.

When we get it, where do we get to software to start developing for it?

Does any distribution media ship with the roboRIO? Will the previously restricted beta software...

Re: [NE FIRST] Battle of the Bay - Nov. 15

We're thinking of coming up from Newton, Massachusetts.

Is there any more information about the event? Start time? End time? We have to figure out if we can make this a day trip.

How many teams are...

Re: Taking videos at Championship?

So I was actually filming right next to the official cameraman for Newton up in the Terrace/Club level, and complained to him about zooming in tight and missing action on the other side. He said they...

Re: Taking videos at Championship?

Sorry, I didn't record all the Newton matches. I recorded 9 of our teams 10 matches (had a camera spazz on one) and randomly probably an equal number of other matches that I felt were interesting. So...

5 ft would be way too close for my purposes -- I'm not bringing a fisheye lens!

Your setup looks awesome, but way more effort than I put into this. I need to get some of our students more excited...

We're going to be in Newton -- which we were really hoping for since our team is from Newton, MA!

Yes, I'm very familiar with networking. (I'm a mentor, not a student.) I had assumed since the rules said port 1130 was the only one available for Operator station to Robot...

Re: Image processing on the driver station laptop

Andy --

Are you using Labview? It looks to me like UDP Port 1130 is the only UDP port one can definitely depend on being open from the Driver Station to the robot. If that's the case and you're...
