Re: pic: Improved Basketball Drive

There isn't any scrub. The wheels are in the middle of the ball vertically, so if one wheel spins, it rotates around the other. And if both are spinning to go diagonally, the axis of rotation lines...

Re: Teach me Vision

Also, remember to start with crude vision. Don't try to over complicate things before you get a basic form working. As to the actual details, I'm sorry but I can't help you. We work in LabVIEW with...

Re: CT State Championship 2016

Unfortunately we couldn't get enough of our members together for that day for 4557 to attend, but I'll be there volunteering. And, if any of you are at Battlecry, we'll see you there!

Re: Off season driver training

We always introduce our new drivers at off-season events so they get some experience before going into official events.

This year, our team is doing Battlecry@WPI and WIWI in Wolcott.

Re: New Off-season Defenses

I like the idea of a rolling log in the middle. Challenging, but not too.

Re: Loading Template image

I will add the photos... I forgot to attach them.

I am processing the images on the dashboard, and I used vision assistant to generate the code for me.

Hey y'all!
I've been working on getting vision as an off-season goal. I've got a small problem left right now. As you can see in the screenshots, my color-filtering and population-filters are working...

Re: Thoughts on driving in FIRST Stronghold

The way we worked was we had our coach giving high-level strategy decisions, and our operator worked with the driver to help with details. What often happened was the operator watched the camera feed...

Re: 2016 IRI Rule Change Suggestions

Seems like the teams at IRI are good enough and have worked on their robot enough to show up to the field anytime they have a match.

Re: When programming doesn't get enough time

Best way to avoid this: set a schedule, and keep to it. Something that comes up on our team too. End up doing a lot of the testing during our 6 hour unbag time.

Re: Stronghold rant...

Just to address a few points from my point of view:

Sure, the early stages of the game became boring: driving over defenses, again and again. But, from what I saw, there was plenty of peril and...
