Re: 2017 - New England District Event Schedule
Seems like the two events we usually frequent (Waterbury and Hartford) are unchanged from last year. If we make it, travelling to DCMPs will definetly be more of a challenge :) I'm excited.

Re: Build Season Schedule Questions?
Our team runs the first 2 weeks like so:
Mon-Thur 3:30-6 unofficial, 6-8:30/9:00 officially
Sat 9-4:30
The last four weeks get a tad bit more intense:
Mon-Fri 3:30-6 unofficial, 6-9:00 official

Re: New guy needs some direction please!...
I'm not sure exactly how, but I feel like directly accessing the screen's color would be more accurate and less error-prone than a color sensor, which could be affected by lighting conditions, etc....

Re: Chute Door?
Oh man, must have been because I didn't go on CD or read the Q&A before this season. Thanks for the clarification!

Re: Team Member Accountability
Our team has a very lax approach to this. Our general rule is to say when you are coming, and come when you say you are coming. It works well for most of the season, but we ran into a few problems...

Re: Chute Door?
I'ma be brutally honest, I have no idea what this is. Maybe I'm a tad bit too young to remember this? If anyone can, please enlighten me. ::rtm::
EDIT: "this" refers to the Chute Door thing

Re: Learning JAVA - best resources
A little more expensive, but a very very very (did I mention very?) good resource is the Head First Java Book (https://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Java-Kathy-Sierra/dp/0596009208).
It might be a tad...

Re: Best Event Giveaways
Team 999 3D printed custom battery inserts for every team at Hartford with our team number on it. That was really cool.

Re: Best Event Giveaways
Maybe some backpacks? I know that I would definetly use one, especially at competition, as I always have a backpack on me.

Re: Video Review Needs to Happen Now
I don't know if I'd go this far. This would require teams to calculate in their own heads (or calculators) what the new score would be and if it would swing the game. I think this would just waste...

Re: Video Review Needs to Happen Now
The concern about 6 objections every match is unjustified. At TRI, only one objection was made the whole event. I think that teams will understand that asking for silly reviews is a waste of time for...

Re: Favorite Team Moments
My favorite moment this year as a team was our EI win at Waterbury. It really came out of the blue for us, as we didn't expect it. Even though it was the end of a really exhausting competition, I was...

Re: [FRC Blog] 2017 Einsteins and More
FIRST HQ is in EST, so that seems the logical choice. Also, EST probably has the most amount of teams (with GA, NE, MAR, NC, Ontario, MI, etc. there). Makes it easier on a larger amount of teams....
