Re: Is it legal to use IP camera's on your robot?
The RoboRio has two USB type A ports on it, could you not just use two USB webcams? Or are you looking to use more than 2 cameras?
To answer your specific question though, IP cameras are allowed...

Re: Grayhill Encoders connected to Talon SRX
Or get a few of these when they come back in stock:

A bit more expensive, but 100x easier to use. You can just take the same cable that connects to the...

Re: 90 + degree camera ?
Depends on the application. If the goal is to be able to actually view the video feed, then you'd have to look at it sideways unless you could rotate the video itself. If all you're doing is...

Re: 90 + degree camera ?
Which direction are you looking for wider view? Vertical or Horizontal?
Horizontal wide angle cameras should be pretty easy to find (I came across this...

Re: Battery Rules
So, if one were to have doors on their battery cart, but also have the cart ventilated (with fans or otherwise) to prevent thermal runaway, it should be ok?

Re: Battery Rules
Could you elaborate on this? Our current battery charger design has the batteries laying down. What is the downside of doing this? Do we have to completely redesign and rebuild our battery cart?

Re: 775 pro shield
Out of curiosity, how are you actually connecting the wires to the motors? The connectors we use look like they would be too long for this to work.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I'm blind...
Could you post a...

Re: FRC shifting gears
Has anyone ever attempted to use multiple servos to actuate a single shifter? Seems like it would be the logical thing to try given the option to use unlimited numbers of servos and their relative...

Re: 3D printed parts
There was a team that 3D printed their entire chassis a year or two ago, and I don't think the materials rules have changed all that much since then. There's actually a picture of it here on CD...

Re: Experiences with Cubify 3D printers
I've honestly considered buying an Arduino with the right shield and just wiring the stepper motors from our Cube to that for a control system. 99% of the issues we've had with our Cube have been...

Re: pic: Mini "Belly Pans" for Talons
Also worth noting, you can buy them in bulk at Andymark: http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-2912.htm, though you need a proper crimping tool (http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-2554.htm) for...

Re: CIM Motor Reversing
To add to this, in a pinch, you can add a dead stop to the mechanism and then program it to slightly overshoot where you want it to go and always hit the dead stop, thus returning it to a consistent...

Re: New to FRC- You guys are all amazing!
As a general note about this, I'm pretty sure under FRC rules you wouldn't be able to use either of these on a competition robot per R9 in the manual.
That said, I'm glad to see Cooler Master...

Re: pic: Team 1305's second robot.
Do my eyes deceive me or is this a 14 wheel drive system? Based on the size of the wheels and the number of axles and bearings it would appear to be.

Re: pic: Custom drivetrain
If there is a CIM in the back, it would appear to be driven differently than the one in the front, as there is a threaded rod supporting the back wheel but not the front.
