Presentation about the 2016 control system
Greetings!
I've attached a preliminary presentation on the 2016 control system for FRC. This includes the new Wi-Fi radio and the new motor controllers from Rev Robotics and Mind Sensors. I'm...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO
Actually, a simple web browser will do the display just fine. You can compile mjpg-streamer for vlc, udp, rtsp or one of several other options. However, we've just been using the output_http.so...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO
Actually, you drop a Javascript page onto the ./www directory that has a button that allows you to switch between the streams. So, you're not getting both streams simultaneously unless you want...

Re: mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO
The Logitech C920 does hardware H.264 encoding. Mjpeg-streamer understands that and doesn't repeat the process. This significant;y lowers CPU utilization.

mjpg-streamer running on roboRIO
Here at the Orlando Regionals while waiting in the pits for our robot to start working, I ported mjpg-streamer to the roboRIO. It was pretty funky since the source doesn't lend itself to...

Re: Dual Cameras? -- Updated C++ Class Code
Greetings!
I've cleaned up the dual camera code and created a class ala the Java example that was posted earlier. Essentially, add the CameraFeeds.cpp and CameraFeeds.h to your project and then...

Re: USB Cameras
Greetings!
Here is code that runs dual USB cameras. It's in the form of a C++ Eclipse project. It should be extensible to multiple (more than 2) cameras. The process is a bit convoluted because...

Re: Dual Cameras?
Here is the code for dual cameras running on the RoboRio. The code is written in C/C++, but it should be readily adaptable to Java. The zip is in the form of an Eclipse project and should be able...

Re: Multiple cameras on one Robot
We have multiple USB cameras working on the bot in C++. So far, we've only tested two cameras because that's what we need for our bot. But, it looks like it should be scalable to more cameras as...

Re: Dual Cameras?
Fixed! Thanks to the suggestion from the previous post, I've got two cameras working with C++. It's a bit klugey, but the NI code really isn't built to run more than one camera at a time. I'm...

Re: Dual Cameras?
Thanks for the suggestion, but we already tried this. The camera server code does not have a stop method and trying to use a camera other than 0 results in lots of errors being displayed in the...

Dual Cameras?
Hmm... OK, in looking through the WPILib sources (C++), it appears that the camera server is hard-coded to camera 0. Not only that, but the NI vision system remembers which cameras were enumerated...

Re: Snow blower motor on motor controller
For those folks wondering about Talon SRX and the snow blower motor, we hooked a SB motor up to a Talon SRX last night. We were using CAN bus control but in %voltage mode. The code was in C++. We...

Re: TI Launchpad "Bricked"?
When the gamepad tool failed, it was running in native WinDoze 7 (64-bit). The launchpad was totally hosed with no USB serial interface available. I ran Energia in Linux to recover. Then verified...

OK, so I used Energia to program the "blink" sketch and that started working immediately. Using that as a sign that the board was, in fact, living in some dimensional plane, I went...

Yes, we did with the result I listed earlier. I'm going to see if Energia can reprogram the firmware to at least get something going.
Update: Energia could update the firmware to get something...

From that point, the...
