Re: Quick Reboot - is it possible?
While it would be nice during debugging and integration to be able to just FTP a new executable and say "GO!", the seconds that this would save us don't justify the effort of making it so.
Many...

Re: 2014 Curie Division
Among the other problems with OPR this year is the assumption that teams are trying to maximize their overall score. Many teams at times sacrificed potential truss and high goal points to maximize...

Re: HAT Club 2014
It is never too late to add a hat to your robot.
Step 1: Find your HAT.
Step 2: Put on your HAT.
Step 3: You'll feel better now.

Re: 2014 Curie Division
I think that seeing a team's elimination record at a glance tells you meaningful information. A team with a 12-0 elimination record certainly looks different than one with an 0-2 eliminations record.

Re: CPU spike to 100% - robot unresponsive
I have helped teams debug this problem at events many times over the years, and the majority of the time the issue is a "for" or "while" loop where there shouldn't be one. With an Iterative or...

Re: Teams Missing from this Year's Championship
168, assuming nobody declines the invitation.
MAR is unique in that more than half of its allocated spots (11/18) were filled through award winners at the District Championship and at Regionals.

Re: FIRST please fix....
What RufflesRidge posted is basically correct. Persist autonomous mode state across mode changes so you pick up from the same place you left off. In our case, we use a lot of timing from the start...

Re: FIRST please fix....
I would be very surprised if CheesyVision was responsible. There are only ~30 payload bytes (plus TCP overhead) being transmitted to the cRIO per second on one of the open ports listed in the...

We are in the process of gathering our driver station logs from SVR to hopefully help FIRST hunt down the bug. I recommend that you do the same.
The behavior we saw was that 1.5 seconds into...

Re: Team 254 Presents: CheesyVision
Yeah, UDP is definitely a more straightforward way to do this, but we had already implemented a TCP server on our robot and decided to repurpose it.
