Re: Last Minute emergency with team

If you have a mentor or associated adult that is so inclined they could spot the team the funds they need for the event and be paid back/reimbursed later after the team fund-raises the money they...

Re: Programmers on the Drive Team

I'm sorry, I don't have any decent close-ups of the switches we've used.

We've attached them with VHB or small screws, and they work well with ~1-2mm air gap between the magnet and the switch....

Re: Team 3467 2015 Robot: SPITFIRE

Question - can SPITFIRE pick up a stack of totes 2-3 high? What if that stack is next to another stack 2-3 high?

Re: Team 95 Hard At Work - 2015

Thanks Brendan! Your comments are much appreciated.

Indeed! 1519 and 1307 were both great teams to work with.

You are welcome, and thank you for the compliment. I hope to have even further...

Re: frustrated FRC mentor needs advice

I will echo the need for more mentors. Students come and go, funding waxes and wanes, facilities grow and shrink, but mentors can be forever. They are what anchor a team and allow it to be...

Re: Team 3467 2015 Robot: SPITFIRE

Awesome. I love the versatility of the primary mechanism and the landfill mining capabilities.

Hopefully we will get to compete together at DCMP!

Re: Defining Great Game Design

Two things that I appreciate in a good FRC game:

1) Nearly unlimited scoring opportunities. I enjoyed years like 2012 where a team or alliance could expand their score the faster and faster they...

Well, I am quite pleased to report that our hard work has paid off! :D

1519 Mechanical Mayhem was seeded first at GSDE and selected us as their first pick and 1307 as their second pick. With a...

Re: Al's Annual Inspection Thread 2015

^What this guy said.

The specific wording "... to release air at 125psi..." is the key phrase. Does the valve release air at 125psi (or lower)? If yes, you're good to go. If no, then you're...
